Treatment Process:

1) Heat Treatment:

• Rough machining
• Stress relieving
• Machining with grinding tolerances
• Heat treatment including tempering
• Final machining and grinding
• Production

The main steps involved in Heat treatment are Quenching and Tempering.

2) Surface Treatment:

• Nitriding
• Flame Hardening
• Carburizing
• Powder carburizing
• Gas carburizing
• Nitrocarburizing

Special treatment like sub zero cooling are used to improve the tool life.
